Join Humana’s innovative Visual Insights and Automation team within Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting as a Data Visualization Lead. In this role, you will consult with a variety of business partners and stakeholders, leading the development of interactive visualizations, front-end applications, and data algorithms that empower our end users to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized data visualization support to the Humana Clinical Pharmacy Review (HCPR) department, including:
  • Leading the design and implementation of advanced data visualizations and user interfaces using Power BI to make complex data accessible and actionable for business stakeholders.
  • Developing and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports that incorporate advanced DAX calculations, dynamic filtering, parameterization, drill-through capabilities, and other techniques to support strategic decision-making.
  • Utilizing Power BI Report Builder to modernize and maintain legacy SSRS reports, ensuring consistency and performance across reporting platforms.
  • Integrating Power BI with other Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and, Power Apps to create end-to-end analytics solutions.
  • Drive the evolution of our cloud-based analytics platform, leveraging Databricks to enhance scalability, performance, and data engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to understand business needs and translate them into impactful data solutions.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Exercise independent judgment in solving complex problems, determining the best course of action with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in data analytics, visualization, and algorithm development.
  • Deep expertise in Power BI, including:
  • Advanced DAX for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
  • Power Query/M for data transformation and ETL
  • Data modeling and star schema design
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team environments and project execution.
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences through data-driven insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare or managed care, especially pharmacy benefit management.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy utilization management data.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical project leadership.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
