We're thrilled you're considering a career with Humana. No matter your expertise—clinical services, analytics, customer support, or a corporate function—our goal is to provide a clear understanding of our hiring procedures. Although this process can differ based on the role and location, this is a general guide to what you can anticipate during your recruitment journey with us.

Getting Hired

Ensure you understand the responsibilities and requirements by thoroughly reading the job descriptions. 

Yes! Current employees can refer you through our internal referral system. Once referred, you'll receive an email with a link to the job application.

To be considered for a position, you must apply directly on our career site; we do not accept resumes via email.

Found the perfect role? Click the “Apply” button on the job description page to begin your application. You have the option to upload your resume to pre-fill parts of your application. After submission, you'll receive an email to confirm that we've received
 your application. 

After applying, you'll get a confirmation email. Our recruitment team reviews every application thoroughly. If your skills align with the role, we will contact you to initiate the interview process. 

Log into your candidate home account at any time to view your application status. This link will also be in your confirmation email. 

Unfortunately, you cannot alter your application once it has been submitted. 

You can reset your password by logging into your candidate home account and selecting “Forgot your password”. 

Interview stage

After we review your application, if your qualifications meet our criteria, a recruiter will reach out for an initial interview and guide you through subsequent stages with the hiring manager and team members. The interview process may include phone calls, video interviews, and in-person discussions. For some clinical roles, you may need to complete an online assessment or visit a specific location.

During your interview, we aim to understand you and learn why you’d be a good fit for the role. Be prepared to discuss your work experience and skills related to the position, and don't hesitate to ask questions about the role and our company to ensure alignment with your career goals. 

After the interviews, our team will deliberate and make a hiring decision. We strive to provide feedback promptly. If you have any inquiries during this period, feel free to contact your recruiter.  

Offer of employment

Should the hiring team decide to proceed, your recruiter will reach out with a verbal offer followed by a written employment offer. Upon acceptance, you'll receive a welcome call or email to start the onboarding process. 

A week before your start date, you will receive an email detailing what to expect on your first day at Humana. 

Humana provides a robust and competitive benefits package, including health insurance that starts on your first day of employment. You'll also receive a Welcome Packet on your initial day, which contains further details about your benefits.Discover more about what Humana has to offer. 

Yes, there is. This job offer is dependent on the successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
