Our Veterans hiring initiative
Humana understands and appreciates the extraordinary commitments veterans have made for our nation. Humana launched the Veterans Hiring Initiative in August 2011. Since then, we have hired more than 6,000 veterans and military spouses.
We have dedicated HR team members focused exclusively on veterans and military spouses and helping Humana leaders better understand how this outstanding group of talent makes Humana an even better organization. In addition, Humana takes steps to prepare and support our veterans as they transition to the corporate world. Our Veterans Network Resource Group, SALUTE, helps them connect and learn from each other.

Caring for our nation’s military
As a longtime partner with the Department of Defense’s TRICARE program, Humana currently administers health benefits for more than 6 million active-duty military and retirees, as well as their families, across 32 states. Since 1996, Humana Military has worked to create the right access, better health outcomes and simplified experiences.
