Pharmacy Residency Program

The Pharmacy Residency Program is an accredited, 12-month advanced pharmacist training program designed to bridge education and pharmacy practice. Pharmacists will prepare for a career in managed care by building knowledge, skills and attitudes. Each resident will work with a designated preceptor. Residency is paid.

Pharmacists must have a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited school, as well as an active intern license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.

Physician Leadership Program
The Executive Physician Immersion Program is an internal program that accepts 1-3 physicians each year. Physicians must have an MBA, MPH or other master’s degree. Every cohort will go through a two-year rotation where program participants:
  • Receive mentorship from Humana’s Chief Medical Officer and other top company executives
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Humana’s business
  • Engage in projects that impact corporate and business unit strategy
  • Learn about in-home care, technology and digital capabilities, telemedicine, risk and compliance and social determinants of health
