The Credit & Collection Representative 2 makes outbound calls and receive inbound calls from members to obtain a form of payment for current and past orders. The Credit & Collection Representative 2 processes credit card transactions and resolves credit card declines. The Credit & Collection Representative reads ledgers and review member’s billing information. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

The Credit & Collection Representative 2 makes outbound calls and receive inbound calls from members to obtain a form of payment for current and past orders.  Authorizes release of orders within established company guidelines and up to a pre-specified dollar amount. Identifies and collects overdue accounts to minimize outstanding debts. Performs research and resolution for members regarding their member accounts  via the phone. Assists members in making payments for past due balances. Set up Credit Card Accounts for recurring payments. Corrects any payment problems relating to members plan. Performs a reminder of payment call for recovery of past due copays via phone. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy. Works within defined parameters to identify payment options  and quality standards, but has some latitude over , and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

               

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of call center experience
  • De-escalation skills
  • Comfortable with being in a seated roll in front of a computer for extended periods of time
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Availability to work Overtime during increased Workload Cycles
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Irving, TX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the finance field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
