Description

The Data Management Lead supports all aspects of configuration control, data management, and deficiency reporting. The Data Management Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Data Management Lead supports implementation of government and industry policies for requirements management, document management, change management, production and delivery, and configuration management of the performance, functional, and physical baselines. Acquires, validates, stores, protects, and processes required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for its users. Develops and executes architectures, policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 or more years of technical experience
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • Experience building and maintaining analytic data sets with tools such as SQL Server, TOAD, SQL developer
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience using Structured Query Language
  • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Conduct research on data in order to identify and enforce Master Data Management logic and rules.
  • Review and validate Data Product metadata and specifications
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.  Consults with leadership on final implementation of solutions.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAS and/or SPSS
  • Experience with large data sets and health-care data
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in programming, analytical work, research and/or statistics
  • Experience implementing MDM
  • Healthcare or managed care experience
